Welcome
West Suffolk Poker League is more than just cards and chips—it’s a community of players, both new and experienced, who get together every week for friendly competition, laughs, and great times. No matter your skill level, you’ll feel at home here.
League Etiquette & Rules
We’re here to provide a friendly and fair poker environment. A few important rules:
- Preregistration Grace Period: If you preregister to play but cannot be present by 7:30 pm, you may have your hands folded and blinds paid for up to 30 minutes (i.e., until 8:00 pm). After that, you will be removed from the event.
- Respect the Game & Players: Banter is welcome, but any form of abuse or harassment is not tolerated. Please maintain good personal hygiene and be considerate of others at the table.
- TD Rulings Are Final: All league staff decisions are binding. If a dispute arises, defer to the tournament director or designated staff member for a consistent ruling.
- Rabbit Chasing: Allowed only if all remaining players agree.
- Chip Changing: If you need to add or exchange chips, notify the dealer as soon as you’re out of a hand—don’t wait until the next round.
- Betting Out of Turn: If you act out of turn, you incur a one-street no-raise penalty; your action is “dead” until it reaches you in turn.
- Standard Texas Hold’em Rules Apply: All other rules (hand rankings, blind structure, betting rounds, showdown procedures) follow standard Texas Hold’em guidelines.
We’re proud to run a welcoming, respectful and exciting poker league — and we’re always open to feedback. If you ever have questions or concerns, speak to any of us in confidence.
